FAQ

Do I Need a Referral?

A medical referral is not required to see a physiotherapist at My Physio Perth.

Can I use my Private Health Insurance card?

Yes. We have a HICAPS terminal which allows us to claim your rebate immediately. You will simply be left with the remaining gap.

How much will I get back on my treatment?

The amount that you receive back from your health insurance provider depends on your insurance policy.

How long does an appointment take?

Our initial physiotherapy consultations are typically 40 minutes, twice the industry standard to ensure accurate diagnosis. Subsequent consultations are normally 20 minutes depending on your presentation. My Phsyio Perth offers flexible appointment options so ask our friendly receptionist or see out ‘appointments and pricing’ page for more information.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring any referral letters and relevant test results such as X-rays. If you have private health insurance please bring your card as you can claim through our HICAPS system.

What should I wear?

It is essential that your professional physiotherapist can adequately assess and treat your injured area. Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing to allow this and rest assured, your modesty will always be protected.

What happens at my first appointment?

Please arrive early for your initial appointment. This allows you to provide some preliminary information, maximising your time with the physiotherapist. Your initial consultation includes a comprehensive examination, discussion about your condition and appropriate treatment and management plans.

How does Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accident and DVA work?

A Doctor may refer you for treatment if you were injured at work, as part of a motor vehicle accident or if you’re covered by DVA. In this event your treatment costs will be covered in full by the appropriate third party.

Where is the clinic located?
