Neil qualified as a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in the UK in 1982. He has subsequently completed post-graduate Diploma’s in Manipulative Therapy and Sports Physiotherapy from Curtin University and a Master’s degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University in the UK. In 2009 Neil was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists.
Neil has over 35 years’ experience in the treatment and management of musculoskeletal problems. He has worked in hospitals, private practices and with sports teams in Australia and the UK. Neil has over 10 years teaching experience in the UK where he was a Senior Lecturer on both the undergraduate Physiotherapy and post-graduate Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy programs at Sheffield Hallam University and Oxford Brookes University. Prior to working at My Physio, Neil worked as an on-site physiotherapist in the oil/gas and iron ore mining industries.
Neil likes to keep fit and in his spare time enjoys hiking – the Coast to Coast walk across the North of England and Cape to Cape walk in WA are amongst his favourites. In the past he was a keen runner and triathlete with a half marathon and the Rottnest triathlon being his longest event. These days he prefers a more leisurely cycle around the river or game of golf.
